RURAL REHABILITATION PROGRAMME FOR MENTALLY HANDICAPPED
This centre was established in 1987 at Achaipally village of Mulugu Mandal, Medak Dist of Andhra Pradesh by acquiring 32 acres of Agricultural land where rural based vocational training programmes are imparted Inmates are provided with comfortable residential facilities. Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India is sanctioning the Grant – in – Aid for Centre Based training programme.
The centre provides two types of services:-
1. Centre Based at IRRC Achaipally - 75
2. Home Based Services at the Places of beneficiaries - 51
After successful completion of the vocational training at the centre, they will be integrated back to their rural social set up, when they are considered fit to stand on their own feet or assist their families in the farm / rural trade jobs.
This unit is manned by a team of qualified professionals.

* The centre provides training in developing concentration and motivation through yoga and meditation therapies to the inmates.
* In addition to Medical facility, Psychiatry, Physiotherapy , speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavior modification and Counseling are given. Vocational training is given in Agro based Vocations.
Sports
Beneficiaries participated in “Special Olympic Bharat” at State level competitions and won 14 prizes.Details are given below:-

Out Reach Programme
In addition to centre based services at Achaipally, we have also taken up home based services project in the surrounding rural areas to the mentally challenged section of the society since 2002.
The package of services provided under home based includes early detection of the disabled.

79 programmes were conducted for NGO’s, Sarpanches, Head Masters, Teachers, Youth, SHG Women, Pregnant Women and Medical Staff.
