Centre for Learning Disabilities
This centre was started in the year 1999 as there was much demand for starting this department. T.C.L.D. is working under the programme of COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICES. This is one of the up coming departments of SWEEKAAR. The department focuses on the LEARNING PROBLEMS of normal school going children. A team of specialists take care of the department.

The main objective of this centre is to support the L.D. children and bring them to the main stream. We could achieve good results in this area.
Summer Course:
The Centre Conducts summer course for school children in various activities in the month of April – May. 60 Children participated they were trained in different activities such as dance, music, crafts, personality development, cookery, etc. in 2007. The one month course was a relaxing, refreshing, enjoying and learning time for these children. The hidden talents were brought out and children could gain self confidence. They were involved in Word Scramble game to improve word building skills.

K. Pratham Reddy : Age : 7 Years
This child was brought with the complaints of poor academic performance and behavior problems.

Improvements:-
After intervention the child bahaviour problems reduced. He didn’t know the difference between capital letters & small letters and numbers also. Now he is very much improved. He is able to identify alphabets, 3-4 letter words and numbers. His self confidence is also increased. He is very much interested in drawing and coloring. Parents are very happy with the improvements of the child and thanked the team for the efforts made for the improvement of the child.
M. Goutham : Age 9 years:-
The child was brought with the complaints of poor scholastic performance & behavior problems.
Improvements:
:- The child was given training in CLD by special educator and teachers. Now the child has reduced behaviors. His spellings have moderately improved. He is also able to read simple paragraphs. His mathematic skills has also improved, answers to the given questions from the paragraph. He is presently going to be integrated to the normal school. We are very much satisfied seeing his improvement.
