HOPE BANK
Most of us have many used things not in use, may be books, shoes, clothes, furniture, etc., The things we throw can bring a glow in someone’s life. Hence this unit was started in the year 1999 with a principle “Pick up from Peter and pass it on to Paul”.
Hope Bank Drums are kept in various schools, colleges, etc. The Drums are kept with an intention of collecting used/new clothes, books, toys and any other materials that are donated by people for redistributing them among the needy, during free medical camps also conducted regularly and on any other suitable occasion.
After the placement of the Drums at any given location the complete details of the same will be recorded. Once the Drums are full, the information will be passed. Sweekaar will collect the articles from the location and these are distributed to poor & needy during disability detection camps.
The Hope Bank has received Woolen Blankets from Dhani Woolen Mills, Janidala, Amrutsar. The blankets have been distributed to the poor inmates and casual labourers at IRRC Achaipally. Blankets and bed sheets were distributed for the old aged people at Means, a Voluntary Organization situated at Moulali, Hyderabad. During the free disability detection camp at Bailampur Village of Mulugu Mandal we have distributed old clothes for poor people. Old Clothes have also been distributed to the people living in slum areas of Twin Cities i.e. at Mettuguda, Begumpet, Uppal, Chikalguda, Shiva Nagar, Krishnapuri Colony, Moulali etc.
